- REVISION – UNIT 7 I. Học tất cả từ vựng Unit 7 II. Ngữ pháp Unit 7: 1. Dùng “it” dể chỉ khoảng cách Chúng ta có thể sử dụng “it” ở vị trí chủ ngữ để chỉ khoảng cách. Ex: It is about 300 metres from my house to the bus stop. 2. Cách dùng used to (The use of used to) Chúng ta sử dụng used to (đã từng) khi nói về thói quen trong quá khứ nhưng nay không còn nữa. Ex: When I was a child, I used to go to Suoi Tien. • Cách thành lập Used to - Thể khẳng định (Affirmative form): S + used to + V (bare inf) Ex: I used to live in Hue. - Thể phủ định (Negative form): S + didn’t + use to + V (bare inf) Ex: My father didn’t use to smoke cigarette. - Thể nghi vấn (Interrogative form): Did + S + use to + V (bare inf)? Ex: Did you use to work in the post office? * Lưu ý: Ngoài việc sử dụng used to để nói về thói quen trong quá khứ, chúng ta còn sử dụng would. Used to: đã từng, thường, vốn Would: thường Ex: When Tham was a child, she would go fishing on Sunday. Ex: We lived in Japan for seven years. When I was a child, I went to Bangkok three times. - Chúng ta cũng cần phải phân biệt rõ giữa used to + bare infinitive và to be + used to + V-ing. • Used to + bare inf (đã từng) chỉ thói quen trong quá khứ. Ex: When I was a child, I used to go to Dam Sen Park. - To be + used to + V-ing (trở nên quen với) chỉ thói quen hoặc việc thường xảy ra ở hiện tại. Ex: I am used to listening to music every evening.
