- Monday, March 15th 2021 Week:25 Period:95 Unit 15: Do you have any toys? Lesson 1. Sections 1, 2, 3. A. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ps will be able to ask and answer questions about toys, using Do you have +(words for toys)? Skills : Listening and talking. Task: Look, listen and repeat; point and say; Let’s talk B. New language: Vocabulary: doll, car, robot, puzzle, teddy bear. Sentence patterns: Do you have a robot ? Yes, I do/ No, I don’t. C. Procedures: I. Warm up: - Have Ps to say the chant How many desks? Draw Ps’ attention to the title of the units and check comprehension. Have them repeat it once or twice. - Tell Ps that they are going to practise asking and answering the questions about toys they have, using Do you have +(words for toys)? II.New lesson: 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the first picture and elicit the name of the characters and what they say. - Ask Ps to repeat the text a few times. Repeat the procedure with the second picture. Give the meaning of unfamiliar words : robot, teddy bear and have them repeat the text in the pubbles a few times. - Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking. - Play the recording for Ps to listen and say along line by line. Sentence patterns: Do you have a robot? Yes, I do/ No, I don’t. 2. Point and say. - Tell Ps that they are going to practise more in asking and answering the questions about toys they have, using Do you have +(words for toys)? - Point to each picture and elicit the meaning of new words. doll, car, puzzle - Have Ps to listen and repeat each of the words a few times. - Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the first picture and read the text. Point to picture a and prompt Ps to say the question and answer. Put the question and answer on the board and have Ps repeat each of them a few times. Repeat the procedure with the rest.

No, I don’t - Have Ps repeat the example a few times. - Do choral and individual repetition, using the pictures in the book. - Get Ps to practise in pairs, replacing doll by given words in the pictures. - Check as a class. Note: Raising tone in the question the answer. 3. Let’s talk. - Tell Ps that they are going to practise more with their friends. Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the picture and read the text. Check their understanding and give feedback. Point to a room and elicit the word filling the gap. Put the question and the answer on the board and have a pair act out the dialogue as an example before starting the activity. Put the sentence on the board and do choral and individual repetition. Example: a. Do you have a doll? Yes, I do. c. Do you have a teddy bear? No, I don’t - Have Ps work in pairs, using the picture in the book. Go around to offer help and correct the pronunciation, If necessary. - Call some pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class. D. Homelink. Lesson 1: 4, 5, 6 A. Objectives: By the end of the period, Ps can be practised more in asking and answering about toys they have, using Do you have +(words for toys)? Skills: Listening and reading, writing. Tasks: Listen and number, Read and write and Let’s write. B. Teaching aids : recordings. C. Procedures : I.Warm up:
- - Greeting and using the picture in section 3 (page 26) and have some pairs to ask and answer about toys they have, using Do you have +(words for toys)? II.New lesson: 4. Listen and number. - Tell Ps that they are going to listen and number the correct boxes. Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the pictures and identify the things and their quantity in the picture Check understanding and give feedback. - Play the recording three times for Ps to listen, do the task and check their answers. - Get Ps to swap and check their answers before checking as a class. Audio script: 1. Nam: Do you have a puzzle? 2. Mai: Do you have a yo-yo? Mai: Yes, I do. Peter: No, I don’t. I have a robot. 3. Nam: Do you have a ball? 4. Mai: Do you have a yo-yo? Mai: Yes, I do. Tony: No, I don’t. I have a yo-yo. - Get Ps to swap and check their answers before checking as a class. Key: 1.c 2.d 3.a. 4.b 5. Read and write. - Tell Ps that they are going to look at the picture and read the text in silence and find words to fill in the gaps. Check comprehension and remind the familiar vocabulary of colours: blue, red. - Give Ps time to do the task. T goes around for help, if necessary. - Get a few Ps to read their writing to the class. - Write the correct answers on the board for Ps to correct other’s answer. Key: 1. car 2. ball 3. doll 4. Let’s write. - Tell Ps that this is a personalized activitiesin which Ps use real facts in their writing. -- Give Ps a few seconds to read the questions in silence. Call one pupil to the front of the class to give a demonstration as an example. Check comprehension and give feedback. - Give Ps time to do the task. Go around to offer help with their writing. - Get Ps to swap and check their answers before calling different individuals to read their writing aloud. - Then call a few ps to write their answers on the board and correct their spelling, grammartical errors, if necessary. C. Procedures: I.Warm up: - Have Ps to play the game Binggo. Words: ball, wardrobe, doll,car, teddy bear, robt, puzzle, chair,cupboard, lamp. - Tell Ps that they are going to practise asking and answering the questions about someone’s toys, using Does he/ she have +( words for toys)? II.New lesson: 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the first picture and elicit the name of the characters and what they say. - Ask Ps to repeat the text a few times. Tasks: Listen and tick, Read and write and Let’s sing. B. Teaching aids : recordings. C. Procedures : I.Warm up: Slap the board . kite teddy bear puzzle ship ball plane Yo- yo II.New lesson: 4. Listen and tick. - Tell Ps that they are going to listen and tick the correct boxes. Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the pictures. Check understanding and give feedback. - Play the recording three times for Ps to listen, do the task and check their answers. - Get Ps to swap and check their answers before checking as a class. Audio script: 1. Boy: Does Mai have a skipping rope? Girl: Yes, she does. 2. Girl: Does Peter have a yo-yo? Boy: No, he doesn’. 3. Boy: Does Nam have a teddy bear? Girl: No, he doesn’t. She has a yo-yo and a puzzle. 5. Does Phong have a kite? No, he doesn’t. - Call individual Ps to read the questions and answers aloud. 6. Let’s sing. - Tell Ps that they are going to sing the song Linda has a little doll. - Teach the song. - Sing each line of the lyrics and have Ps repeat it a few times. When Ps are familiar with the tune, show them how to sing the song and do the actions. - Give the meaning of the new vocabulary: little, dress, sure, everywhere. - Get group of Ps to sit face to face and practise singing and doing the actions. - Have the whole class sing the song and do the actions to rainforce learning. D. Homelink. - Write part 5 on your notebooks.
