  1. Week: 7 Date of teaching: October 26th , 2021 Period: 6 UNIT 3 : COLORS Lesson 1 I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students can name the basic colors. II. Teaching aids: Teacher’s aids: student book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, IWB software, projector/interactive whiteboard/TV. Students’ aids: Student books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Languages focus: Vocabulary:red, yellow, blue Structure: • It’s (red). IV. Procedures: Time Steps/Activities Organization Warm-up Option 1: • Teacher – Guessing game whole class/ - Students work in groups. groupwork/ - Show a half of a picture of a school thing. individuals - Students work in groups to try to guess what object in the picture is. - The students who gives a correct guessing will get one point. Option 2: 5’ True or False” Line. - Put a line of tape on the floor and designate one side "True" and the other "False". - Hold up an object or flashcard and say its word. E.g. ‘red’. The first student from each team runs to the board and slap the correct picture. - Give one point for the correct and fastest student. - Continue the game. • Teacher- B- Listen and point. whole class/ CD1- Track 39 individuals/ - Have students look at the picture, identify details (if they can) and colors in the picture. - Introduce the situation. • Teacher- - Play audio and have students look at the picture. whole class/ - Demonstrate the activity by pointing to the new vocabulary items. individuals/ - Play audio. CD1- Track 40 - Have students turn to page 68. - Read the lyrics as a whole class. - Play audio and have students listen. - Play audio again and have students listen and sing along. Swap roles and repeat. - Afterwards, have some pairs demonstrate the activity in front of the class. Optional activities Option 1: - Show a flashcard to the class.

Wrap-up Option 1:Quickflash • Teacher –  Usetheflashcardsof the three colors students have learnt. whole class  Showeachcardveryquicklyandthenhide itagain.Asktheclass to call out thewords of the picture they have seen. Have students make a sentence with that word. 5’ Option 2: Read my lips - Have two teams set up and the first person on each team must watch • Teacher – the teacher’s mouth. whole class/ - Set a word with no voice, just move his/her lips in tongue in the teamwork correct way. The first teamguess the word correctly gets a point.  Have students make a sentence with that word.
