- Week 12: Teaching date: 03 / 12 / 2021 Period :62 UNIT 10: WHAT DO YOU DO AT BREAK TIME? Lesson 2: 1-3 A. OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge: By the end of this period, students will be able to: - Express their likes and dislikes of a sport or a game. 2. Competences: - Problems solving and creation. - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Linguistic competence 3. Quality: - Love sports - Solidarity with friends 4. Skills: Listening, writing and speaking skills 5. Vocabulary: skipping, skating, hide-and-seek, blind man’s bluff 6. Grammar point: Do you like ___? ̶ Yes, I do. / ̶ No, I don’t. B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, chalk, board, ruler, projector/TV, laptop and flashcards. 2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, notebooks C. PROCEDURES *Warm-up: (5’) - Call a few ss to the front of the class to act out the dialogue. - Give comments. I. Presentation. Task 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Have Ss open their books page 66. - Show some activities on the screen to introduce: skipping, skating, hide-and-seek, blind man’s bluff . - Tell ss that they are going to talk about the activities they like at break time, using Do you like+(activity)? - Draw ss’ attention to the first picture and elicit the activities in the picture. - Explain what they say.
- - Use 2 puppets to present the situation. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Ask ss work in pairs to practice the dialogues. - Monitor the activity. II. Practice Task 2. Point and say. - Have pupils look at each the picture. - Ask pupils to identify the activities - Use the first picture as an example and put the question and answer on the board. - Have Ss repeat the phrases a few times. - Ask Ss to practice in pairs. - Monitor the activity. - Call on some pairs (4-5 pairs) to perform the task at the front of the class. - Observe and give comments. - Have the whole class repeat all the dialogue. Task 3. Let’s talk. - Have Ss look at the pictures on page 66. - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Point to the first picture and ask Ss to guess what they say. - Ask Ss fill the speech bubbles. - Have Ss repeat the sentences in the bubbles. - Ask ss to work in pairs. - Monitor the activity. - Call a few pairs to the front of the class to act out the dialogue. III.Production * Play “Rabbit and Turtle” game. - T shows the game on the screen.There are 8 sentences. - T guides ss to play the game: click on the rabbit if you choose true, click on the turtle if you choose false. D. HOME-LINK - Retell the content of the lesson. - Do exercises in the workbook. Learn by heart the new words and structures E.FEEDBACK

Presentation. *Play " Pass the secret " game
- - Have the students sit in a circle. Show them that they have to whisper to the person next to them. Start the secret by whispering it to the student next to you, e.g. " Do you like badminton?" Have the students pass the secret around the circle. The last student says the secret out loud. Compare how close it is to the original secret. If necessary, write the original secret on the board. II. Practice. Task 1. Listen and number. - Tell ss that they are going to listen and number the boxes. - Have pupils look at pictures a, b, c, d on page 67. - Ask pupils to identify the character in the pictures. - Guide Ss to do the task. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Replay the tape. - Have Ss to trade their answer in pairs for correction. - Give correct answer: a4 b2 c1 d3 Task 2. Read and write. - Tell Ss that they are going to read the text and write the correct words. - Give an example. - Ask ss to read and do the task. - Monitor the activity - Have Ss trade their answer in pair for correction. - Call on some Ss to report their answers. - Listen and give comments. - Have the whole class read each sentence in chorus. III.Production Task 3. Let’s sing. - Guide ss to sing the song: Hide-and-seek - Ask ss to read the lyric of the song. -Play the tape for ss to listen and sing along. - Monitor the activity - Have Ss sing in groups. - Call on some Ss to sing the song. - Listen and give comments. - Have the whole class read each sentence in chorus.
