Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: (Cognition, Skill, Attribute, and Competence) 1. Identify the situation for the conversation dialogue between Mrs Lan and Linda asking and answering questions about one's action in progress (setting, participants, topics). 2. Ask and answer questions about one's action in progress, using: What are they doing? ̶ They’re ____. 3. Ss help their parents to do housework and complete the homework before class. B. LANGUAGE FOCUS Key terms/ Vocabulary cycling, skating, flying kites, skipping Key grammatical structure What are they doing? ̶ They’re ____. C. Activity 2: Controlled & guided practice Task 1: Controlled practice (Activity 2: Point and say.) - Tell Ss look at part two and ask: How many pictures are there? (four pictures) - Point to each picture and elicit the meaning of new words. - Give a few seconds for Ss to look at the pictures and point to first picture and elicit the word to fill the gap. - Have Ss repeat it a few times. - Do choral and individual repetition, using the pictures in the book. - Get Ss to practise in pairs. Check as a class. Task 2: Guided practice (Activity 3. Let’s talk) - Tell Ss that they are going to practise more with their friends.
