  1. Week:28 Teaching date: 11/04/2022 Period:127 UNIT 19: THEY’RE IN THE PARK LESSON 3: 1-3 STAGE 1: DESIRED OBJECTIVES/ OUTCOMES A. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Identify specific information through pronouncing the letter clusters. 2. Listen and fill the gapped sentences with the words rainy and skate. 3. Say the chant: What are you? 4. Ss will love outdoor activites, take part in activities actively, go out and play with their friends sometimes. B. LANGUAGE FOCUS - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision C. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES. - Textbook: Tiếng Anh 3, Student’s book page 62 - Track (Unit 19-page 62), - Letter ai in the word rainy and a-e in the word skate. Activity 1: Language input (Activity 1: Listen and repeat.) - Have Ss open their books page 62. - Tell Ss that they are going to review phrases of saying rainy and skate. - Produce the sounds of the letter ai and a-e in the words: rainy and skate. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Do choral and individual repetition. Play the tape again for students to listen and repeat. Activity 2: full controlled & less controlled Task 1: Listen and write. - Have Ss open their books to page 62. - Get Ss to talk about the way to do the task. - Tell Ss that they are going to listen and write the missing words in the sentences 1 and 2. - Listen and check answer. - Ask Ss trade their answers within pairs or groups for correction. - Ask 3-4 Ss to read their answers aloud to the class - Listen and give comments. - Have the whole class repeat each line of the dialogues. Task 2: Let’s chant. Where are you? - Ask Ss to look at the chant in their books. - Play the tape and ask Ss to listen. - Play the tape again. - Ask Ss to practice singing in groups. - Call on one group to perform the chant at the front of the class Activity 3: Wrap-up & Assignments - Ask students to answer the following questions: 1. What have you learnt from the lesson today? (Pronounce the initial letter cluster ai and a-e in rainy and skate.) 2. What’re the core values of the lesson?

Identify the situation for the conversation dialogue between Mai and Linda asking and answering questions about the location of a place (setting, participants, topics). 2. Ask and answer questions about the location of a place, using: Where’s ______? ̶ It’s in ____ Viet Nam. 3. Ss know their place or their hometown and love the country. B. LANGUAGE FOCUS Key terms/ Vocabulary Ha Noi, north / Ha Long Bay, north / Hue, central / Ho Chi Minh City, south Key grammatical structure Where’s ______? ̶ It’s in ____ Viet Nam. C.   5. - Tell Ss look at part two and ask: How many pictures are there? (four pictures) - Point to each picture and elicit the meaning of new words. - Give a few seconds for Ss to look at the pictures and point to first picture and elicit the word to fill the gap. - Have Ss repeat it a few times. - Do choral and individual repetition, using the pictures in the book. - Get Ss to practise in pairs. Check as a class. Task 2: Guided practice (Activity 3. Let’s talk) - Tell Ss that they are going to practise more with their friends. - Give a few seconds for Ss to look at the picture and read the text. Check their understanding and give feedback. - Pointing to each action and elicit the word filling the gap. - Put the sentence and the response on the board and have a pair act out the dialogue as an example before starting the activity. - Put the sentence on the board and do choral and individual repetition. • Example: Where’s Nam Dinh?
