Imperative with More and Less: - Câu mệnh lệnh sử dụng với More hoặc Less: được sử dụng khi đưa ra yêu cầu, mệnh lệnh hoặc gợi ý. Ví dụ: Do more exercise!, Wash your hands more!

Đa số động từ chia ở thì Quá khứ đơn tuân theo quy tắc: look – looked, nhưng một số động từ không tuân theo quy tắc: go – went (học thuộc lòng bảng động từ bất quy tắc cột 2) Cách dùng: dùng để nói về hành động đã xảy ra và chấm dứt trong quá khứ không liên quan tới hiện tại. Trạng từ thường gặp: yesterday, last week/ summer/ year/ etc, in January/ 2001/ etc., an hour/ a week/ a year ago. g. Present Perfect (Hiện tại hoàn thành) Khẳng định Phủ định Câu hỏi I/you/we/they + have + PII I/you/we/they + haven’t + PII Have + you/we/they + PII? Yes, I/we/they have. No, I/we/they haven’t. He/she/it + has + PII. He/she/it + has + PII. Has + he/she/it + PII? Yes, he/she/it has. No, he/she/it hasn’t. Hầu hết các động từ chia ở phân từ II tuân theo quy tắc thêm ‘ed’: cook – cooked, finish – finished, nhưng một số động từ bất quy tắc như: write – written ● Cách dùng; sử dụng động từ chia ở thì hiện tại hoàn thành để nói hành động đã bắt đầu từ quá khứ kéo dài đến hiện tại và còn có khả năng tiếp diễn tới tương lai. Ví dụ: I have learned English for five years. ● Dùng để chỉ kinh nghiệm, trải nghiệm (thường có số lần thực hiện được đề cập). Ví dụ: It’s the first time I have visited Hanoi. ● Trạng từ thường gặp: for, just, since, already, yet, ever, never, It’s the first time, three times, so far, before, once. h. Comparisons (Câu so sánh) - as + adjective + as: So sánh ngang bằng. Ví dụ: Dancing is as exciting as doing exercise.

Too and either: thường đứng ở cuối câu - Too: dùng trong câu khẳng định để nói ai đó cũng làm gì Ví dụ: My friend likes taking photos, and I like it, too. - Either: dùng trong câu phủ định để nói ai đó cũng không làm gì Ví dụ: His sister doesn’t like horror films, Binh doesn’t either. k. Countable and uncountable nouns (danh từ đếm được và danh từ không đếm được) Danh từ đếm được Danh từ không đếm được one egg – two eggs a bag of rice one fridge – some a bottle of water fridges a jar of jam a piece of cake a bar of chocolate a kilo of sugar a glass of milk Some: dùng với danh từ đếm được số nhiều hoặc danh từ không đếm được trong câu khẳng định. Ví dụ: There isn’t any salt./ There aren’t any bananas./ Is there any cheese?/ Are there any bags? Chú ý: sử dụng some trong câu đề nghị yêu cầu. Ví dụ: Can I have some milk, please?
